I can only assume, since Abagail McLennan Fokes died about 1865, that this marker was placed in memory of John Fokes Jr's wife. I have not found a listing for their marriage nor have I found him shown as married in the census records. If he married, it was likely after the 1850 Milam Co., TX census and before Oct 7 1854 (the date she died).
