Mr. Bacon died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, November 6, 1965, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frances Pooler in Fairfield. He was born in Unity, April 23, 1885, the son of Alonzo and Eliza (Hamlin) Bacon. He had been a farmer in Unity all of his life and moved to Fairfield less that a year ago.
He is survived by his daughter; his widow, Mrs. Hattie (Shibles) Bacon; two sons, Lebaron of Unity and Erland of Waterville; a brother, George of Unity; a sister, Mrs. Marietta Watson of San Francisco, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and cousins.
