Unity – George D. Bacon, 87, a life-long resident here, died Monday night November 22, 1965 at his home. He was born in Unity Plantation, July 8, 1878, the son of Alonzo and Eliza Hamlin Bacon. He had been engaged in farming before his retirement 15 years ago.
Surviving are one sister, Marietta Watson of San Francisco, Calif.; three nieces; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Unity Union Church with the Rev. George Fowler officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Cemetery, Unity.
