Mrs. Minnie Pirtle of 702 North 5th Street, Honey Grove died about 6:15 Thursday afternoon, November 4, 1982, at the Fannin County Hospital in Bonham.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6th, with the Rev. Edwin Gorom officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, Honey Grove.

Pallbearers were Buck Bell, Dean Bell, Eddie Bell, Bill Bell, Jeff Lochridge and Bob Milford.

Mrs. Pirtle was born in the Selfs Community March 6, 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Baggett Bell.

She was married in 1910 to James Claude Pirtle who preceded her in death in 1941.

She was a housewife, a member of the First Christian Church at Honey Grove, was active in The Golden Age Club and taught Sunday School classes through the years. She also taught school at Sash Community in her earlier years and as a hobby had written poetry.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Billie Ruth Yenny and Mrs. Mae Hunt both of Dallas; three sons, John Pirtle of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Ray Pirtle of Combes and Max Pirtle of Honey Grove; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
