Mrs. W. B. Bell Dead

Mrs. W. B. Bell, a pioneer resident of the Selfs community, died at her home at Selfs at 5 o'clock Sunday morning after an extended illness.

Mrs. Bell was 75 years of age at the time of her death and was one of the best known and best loved women in that community. She had lived a life of usefulness and one which was consecrated to the cause of her Master and Maker, being a devoted member of the Christian church. The life which this venerable woman lived was an influence for good in the community where she resided and her passing will be keenly felt among her many relatives and friends.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her husband, and three daughters and six sons as follows: Mrs. Claud Pirtle of Honey Grove; Mrs. Alva Brown of Vernon and Mrs. W. F. Whittenberg of Selfs; Elza Bell of Kansas City, Mo., Fred of Brookston; Ed of DeQueen, Ark.; Oscar, Tom and Herbert of Selfs.

The funeral service was held at the Christian Church in this city Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Elder R. G. Cook of Paris, following which the remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.

Many friends and relatives of the deceased were present at the service attesting the love and respect which they held for the deceased.

The Citizen joins with friends in extending to the bereaved family heart-felt sympathy in their time of sorrow.
