Mrs. Brunkest was born March 31, 1924, in Shawnee to Bart and Ella Wood Watson. She attended school at Centerpoint and Bethel and was a 1942 graduate of Bethel High School.
She lived in Modesto, California most of her life, moving to Livermore in 1992. She was a retired district manager for Montgomery Ward and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Harris and Pam Poco, both of Livermore; sisters, Addie Smith of Shawnee and Kozelhua Young of Tecumseh; brothers, Harold Watson, Ivory Watson and Jackie Watson, all of Tecumseh; three grandchildren, Debbie Lohs, Scott Wilkerson and Chenoah Shell and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Oma Arms, Ruth Williams and Dovie Thomas and three brothers, Frank Watson, Wayne Watson and Raymond Watson.
Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
