Tecumseh resident Harold P. Watson, 80, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in Tecumseh.
He was born June 17, 1926, in Shawnee to Bart and Ella (Wood) Watson.

Harold was born and raised in the Bethel area. He had lived in Tecumseh since his marriage. He attended grade school at Center Point, and junior high and high school at Bethel.

He was married Oct. 25, 1947, in Tecumseh to Geraldean "Dean" Flick.

He worked for Steffens Dairy, later became Gilt Edge, for over 20 years. He also worked as a supervisor at COJAC until retiring in 1989. He drove a school bus for the Tecumseh School system for 21 years.

He attended Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Harold enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed eating cookies.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Harold P. Watson, II; brothers and sisters, Oma, Ruth, Addie, Dovie, Gertie, Frank, Wayne, Ivory and Raymond.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldean "Dean" Watson of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jesse Stearman of Tecumseh, Connie and Keith Mitchell of Bethel, Tawana and BJ Gracy of Tecumseh; grandchildren and spouses, Colette and Rick McClure of Tecumseh, John and Allison Stearman of Tecumseh, Sam and Tessica Mitchell of Bethel, Amanda and Jake Clanin of Shawnee, Andrew, Morgan, Taylor, and Joseph Mitchell, all of Bethel; four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Hayden McClure, and Laney and Cami Stearman all of Tecumseh; sister, Kozelhua Young of Tecumseh; and brother, Jackie Watson of Wetumka.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Ron Baldridge officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.
