Christina F. Parks, 85, died March 3, 2006, at Wesley Towers, Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Redwing, the daughter of Adolph and Matilda Mauler Kahler. A resident of Hutchinson since 1995, she retired from the Halstead Hospital housekeeping department in 1981, and was formerly a nurse aide at St. Elizabeth and Grace Hospitals, worked in retail at JC Penney Co. Inc. and Kmart, worked at the Turquoise Lodge, Albuquerque, NM, and worked in food and jewelry sales at the Kansas State Fair.

On Sept. 3, 1936, she married Orval L. "Jack" Parks in Alva, Okla. He died Dec. 15, 1980.
Survivors include: two daughters and their husbands, Helen and Donald Stevens, Porter, Okla, and Judith and Darrel Regier, Hutchinson; two sisters, Alta Prevo and her husband Clyde, and Cecilia "Pat" Cole, all of Hutchinson; a brother-in-law, Bruce Cole, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack; her parents, a stepmother, Martha Kahler; two sisters, Gertrude and her husband, Alfred Shipley and Helen "Dolly" Cole; and a brother-in-law, Fred Cole.

Funeral will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor John J. Carney presiding. Visitation will be from 1-9 pm Sunday and from 9 am to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6-8 pm Monday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Memorials may be sent to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund or the First Church of God, both in care of the funeral home.
