She attended St. Teresa's Catholic School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1985, moving from Denver, she was a silk finisher at Jimmy Hayes Cleaners, Hutchinson, and moved to Denver in 1960, where she worked for Colorado Lace as a silk finisher. She was raised in St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
On Oct. 25, 1949, she married Bruce G. Cole in St. Joseph, Mo. He survives. Other survivors include three sisters, Alta Prevo and her husband, Clyde; Christina Parks; and Cecilia "Pat" Cole, all of Hutchinson; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Martha; and sister Gertrude Shipley.
Funeral will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, with Father Stuart M. Smeltzer presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the funeral home.
