Mrs. Piper was a daughter of Peter K. and Sarah (Stom) Stiffler and was born in Carson valley on Oct. 10, 1871. She united with the Newry Lutheran church on Oct. 28, 1888, but later transferred to the Duncansville Lutheran church where she was a regular attendant when health permitted.
She had resided at Cross Keys for the past twenty-two years. Surviving are the husband and these children: Mrs. Walter C. Stewart and Mrs. Eldred L. McCall, both of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Albert Mathes of Altoona, Ray M. Piper of Homestead, Ralph E., Blair M. and Mrs. Edgar C. Magill, all of Duncansville, and Miss Ruth Piper and Mrs. Charles A. Magill, both at home, and eighteen grandchildren. Three children are deceased. Also surviving are one brother and four sisters, David L. Stiffler, Mary Stiffler, Mrs. Margaret Clapper and Mrs. Elizabeth Ayers, all of Altoona, and Mrs. Luella Stiffler of Cross Keys. One brother and one sister are deceased. Friends are being received at the home at Cross Keys.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Annie May (Stiffler) Piper will be conducted at the home at Cross Keys Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. G.B. Harman, pastor of the Duncansville Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the Carson Valley cemetery.
