Donna was born 25 March 1919 to Peter and Ida (Kunz) Boss in Garland, UT. She returned to her heavenly home on 14 December 2008.


Donna grew up on a small family farm in Garland; attended Bear River High School and the University of Utah. She married William O. Linford in the Logan LDS Temple. They are parents of Richard W. Linford (Marilynne); Rosann Linford Stanko (N. Leroy); and Robert O. Linford; grandparents of 12 and great-grandparents of 25.


Donna lived in Northern Utah, Concord, California, and Salt Lake City, during which time she was wife and mother, held Church callings, and performed office work with dignity. Donna and Bill served as missionaries in San Diego, California and as temple workers in the LDS Jordan River Temple.


Donna bravely suffered from the consequences of a stroke for 12 years. Donna is best personified by love for Our Heavenly Father and Our Savior Jesus Christ; love for her family and many friends and neighbors; love for The Prophet Joseph Smith and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; love of the living prophets and apostles. She is best understood as a person of testimony, integrity, hospitality, and class. She enjoyed writing poetry and wrote several hundred poems.


Of her six sisters and five brothers, Donna is survived by her sister, June Boss Orchard and her brother, Karl Christian Boss.


Funeral Services will be held in the LDS Chapel at 2255 South Wasatch Drive (approximately 2800 East), Salt Lake City on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit with the family between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment and dedication of the grave will be held on Saturday at the Garland Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
