"Mrs. Frances Schrag, 45, Princeton Rte. 4, a former Flanagan resident, died Thursday eveining at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. She had been ill several months. Her funeral was held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton with the Rev. Jerome Johnson officiating. Burial was at Waldo Cemetery near Flanagan.
Pallbearers were Kenton Johnson, Steven Todd, Anthony Lavorato, Steven Kiser, Phillip Laesch, David Larson, John Smith, Al Walker.
Mrs. Schrag was born Nov. 20, 1930 at Flanagan, a daughter of Nyle and Iva (McCormick) Bertsche. She was married to Richard B. Slagel June 18, 1949 at Meadows. He died Nov. 1, 1967. On July 6, 1969 at Princeton she was married to Glen Schrag.
She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church at Princeton. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Nancy; two sons, Scott and Jim; her mother, Flanagan; two brothers, Milton Bertsche, Flanagan, and Richard Bertsche, Pontiac; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Yordy, Graymont, and Mrs. Ruth Blumershine, Alburquerque, N.M.
Her father preceded her in death, as well as a brother in infancy."
