ELISHA DIER - Morning Advocate
Died at 5:45 a.m. Feb. 2 at age of 64, at residence, 4440 Byron St. Body to be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 with Rev. Sam Rushing, pastor of Istrouma Baptist Church officiating. Interment in National Cemetery. Survived by wife, the former Erma Whittington, four sons, Herman, Rodney G., Joseph and Earl, all of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Barbari, and Mrs. Jackie Sanchez, both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Hodges of Baton Rouge; one brother, B. J. Dier, Sr., of Baton Rouge, and seven grandchildren. American Legion graveside services will be held. He was a native of Amite County, Miss., and was a member of the Baptist Church.
