Boy Killed When Struck By Auto

Joe Bill Cunningham Of Honey Grove Is Accident Victin

Joe Bill Cunningham, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Lee Cunningham.

Monday morning, Chief of Police Johnn Dobbs said a Honey Grove man confessed to Dobbs and Talmadge Moore.

Jack and Richard Shelton saw the boy's body lying at the roadside near the compress, and went to notify the city marshall. When the latter arrived at the scene, the body had been picked up by Mr. and Mrs. Ewell Trout, passing in their car, and taken to a doctor's office.

It is believed the boy was dead when the Shelton boys first saw him.

Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Baptist Church here.
