Mrs. Martha Ellen Gentry, 75 of Paris, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in Paris. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Scott and the Rev. Steve Gunter officiating.

Martha was born on Dec. 21, 1940, in Honey Grove, Texas, the daughter of Bennie Lee and Mattie Lee Simmons Cunningham. She was a devoted longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church, was a full-time homemaker and worked later in life as a home health caregiver. She married the love of her life, Randell Gentry, on July 16, 1960, in Honey Grove. Martha will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Mrs. Gentry is survived by her husband; children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Bill Cunningham.
