Mrs. Sitterson was a retired salesperson for the W.G. Swartz Co., a member of the Tidewater Baptist Temple of Chesapeake, and the Home League of the Salvation Army.
Survivors include: one son - William C. Sitterson of Chesapeake, Va.; three daughters - Marie Keeling of Pittsburg, Pa., Marjorie Lawyer and Shirley Ripski of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers - Sanford Bass and Wallace Bass, both of Edenton; two sisters - Eunice Bunch and Jessie Bunch, both of Tyner; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31 in the Hollomon-Brown Indian River Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hawkins officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Park.
