Vera Mae Bates Begeman, 80, of Dover passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2008.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Assembly of God and the WMs women's group. She sold real estate for Rainey for 12 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Bert A. (Charlotte) Wellman Jr. of Centerville, Texas and Charles E. (Molly) Wellman of Dover; three sisters, Mary (Carl) Gottsponer and Billie Perez, of Dover, and Jerlene (Johnny) Majorwitz of Lamar; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Bates and Dennis (Kay) Bates of Dover; grandchildren, Jaime (Ric) Davis, Charles S., Terry, Leasha, Christie and Christian Wellman; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Terry (T.J.), Brooklynn, Charlie and Ricky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. "Bill" Begeman; parents, Leo and Mae Bates; sister, Willa Rich, brother, Eugene Bates; and grandson, Trey Wellman.
Funeral was Thursday at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God with the Rev. Jackie Pledger officiating. Burial was in Owens Cemetery near Dover. Arrangements are by North Little Rock Funeral Home.
