Charles Dobson - GREENVILLE, S.C.
Alvin Charles Dobson, 87, widower of Doris Ellis Dobson, died December 11, 2008, at National Health Care.
A native of Greer, son of the late Alvin C. and Irene Bailey Dobson, he was the retired-owner of Dobson Service Station, a U.S. Army Veteran where he served in North Africa during WWII, and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, C. Richard (Rick) and La Donna Dobson of Charlotte, N.C., Carlton Lee and Pat Dobson of South Boston, VA and Greg and Anne Dobson of Greenville, S.C; a brother, Broadus (B.B.) Dobson of Greer and six grandchildren, Chuck Dobson, Ben Dobson and wife Sarah, Timothy Dobson, Rebecca Dobson, Matthew Dobson and Preston Dobson.
Mr. Dobson was predeceased by two brothers, William (Bill) Robert Dobson, Richard (Dickey) Deaver Dobson, two sisters, Nell Dobson Tuck, Doris Irene Dobson Rainey and a granddaughter Mary Beth Dobson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Arthur Hold and Rev. John Rush. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends
Honorary escort will be the Camak Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.
