On last Monday night, Mrs. Seaborn Halstead died at the home of her son, Mr. Bently Halstead at Murray [Murray's Crossroads community in north Schley County]. She was eighty five years of age and had lived in this county all of her life. She was buried at Fellowship Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Martha Halstead has a CSA pension application on line in the GA archives virtual vault. She says she married Seaborn K. Halstead in 1846. She gives her date of birth as Dec. 9, 1828 in Wilkinson Co and says her husband was born 1824. He enlisted in Macon, GA in 1862 and served with Company G of the 59th Ga regiment. She is a little fuzzy on his date of death..giving it as April 8, 1907 and April 8, 1911. Harrison H. Holloway from the same unit was her witness.
