H.J.HALSTEAD RITES
Funeral services were held at Fellowship Baptist church Tuesday afternoon for Mr. J.J. [Henry Jefferson] Halstead, 69, former Schley county citizen, who died at an Albany hospital Monday night after an illness of several months. The Rev. D.C. Vincent, pastor of the Grace Methodist church at Albany, officiated and burial was in the Fellowship cemetery. A resident of Fellowship community for many years, Mr. Halstead was a well-known farmer. He had been living at the home of his nephew, S.F. Halstead in Albany. Surviving are one brother, S.B. Halstead of Schley county; three sisters, Mrs. W.J.Eason, Plant city, Fla., Mrs. J.D.Hammock, Wallis, Texas, and Mrs. Mattie Gaulding, Port St. Joe, Fla. Pallbearers were Oscar Usry, D.H. Manning, Robert Taylor, F.W. Lethworth, G.H. McHugh and Artist [Artis] Myrick.
