George Baker of Flinton, died unexpectedly yesterday in Miners Hospital, Spangler. He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Flinton, a son of Roy and Adeline (Boring) Baker, and married Clara Frye. Surviving are his wife, six children, Eugene of Houston, Texas, George Jr. of Irvona, Herman of Berwinsdale, John of York, Emogene and Martin, at home; two grandchildren, his mother of Flinton, and six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Etta Kruise and Mrs. Sylvia O'Shall of Coalport, Mrs. Orveda Weakland of Van Ormer, Martin of Flinton, Jack of Lyleville and Harry Roy of Johnstown. He was a member of the UMWA. Friends will be received in the Troxell Funeral Home, Glasgow after 7 p.m. today.
