Mrs. Henry Brooks died Wednesday morning at her home in Goose Creek township. She was sixty-eight years old, and was a woman loved for her Christian character, and a member of the Baptist church. Surviving her are her husband, two sons, Mr. J. C. Brooks of Goose Creek township, and Mr. V. C. Brooks of north Monroe township, and four daughters, Mrs. C. W. Fowler of Union, S. C., Mrs. Howard Shutts of Charlotte, Mrs. Atlas Simpson of Goose Creek township and Miss Sallie Brooks. One brother, Mr. B. D. Austin of Wingate and three sisters, Mrs. Thetis Brooks of Marshville township, Mrs. Thomas Perry of Wingate and Mrs. Parmelia Griffin of Charlotte, also survive. The funeral service and interment took place at Grace Chapel yesterday afternoon, Rev. J. R. Warren conducting the service.
