Obituary: Edward Brunner, 54, of 826 Seventh St, died at his home at 11:00 PM, Tuesday night following a cerebral hemorrhage. One hour before Mr. Brunner was talking to friends in the business district, as late as 9pm. The attack was very sudden and members of the family were hurriedly summoned to the home, some of them failed to arrive before Mr. Brunner passed away.
Mr. Brunner had been employed for some time in the water meter Dept. of the public Service Dept. of the city, having been previously employed as custodian at the First National Bank building.
Surviving members of the family include the widow and the following children. Mrs. Freda Sommer, Mrs. Marie Sommer, of the city (Portsmouth, Oh.) Edward of Norfolk, Va. Raymond, of 1726 Sixth St. Ports. Oh. Lorena, Arthur, Irving, Fred, Harold, Katherine and Sarah Margaret at home.
Mrs. John Hammond, Mrs. Edward Petit, of Indianapolis, Mrs. George Schirrmann, of Fifth St and Gus Brunner of Fifth St are sisters and brothers. Mr & Mrs Jacob Brunner, of Fifth St. are the parents.
The body was removed to the Pfeiffer Funeral Home where arrangements for the funeral will be made.
Mr. Brunner was a communicant of Holy Redeemer Church and was well and favorably known throughout the city.
