Opal Gladys Vanderburg, Rt. 1, Arthur City, died Sunday, 24 Nov 1985, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, 26 Nov, in the Chicota Presbyterian Church with burial in Presbyterian Cemetery by Gene Roden's Sons.
Mrs. Vanderburg was born 23 Feb 1913, in Chicota, a daughter of William L. and Elizabeth Gustin Vanderburg.
She married L.V. 'Buster' Vanderburg on 25 Dec 1925, in Hugo, Okla.
Surviving are her husband; six sons, Donnie Vanderburg of Irving, Junior Vanderburg of Arthur City, Glenn Vanderburg of Tyler, Jackie Vanderburg of Arthur City, Fred Vanderburg of Arthur City and David Vanderburg of Paris; four daughters, Barbara Wigley of Arthur City, Patsy Gilbert of Powderly, Virginia Williams of Irving and Nancy Peel of Blossom; one brother Albert Vanderburg of California; 25 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Doyle Vanderburg and a daughter, Margie Faye Vanderburg.
