Calvin Y. Vanderburg, 56, a retired carpenter, was dead on arrival at the Sanitarium of Paris about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday after a sudden illness. He lived at 220 George Wright Homes.

Born in Caviness community, February 28, 1904, Calvin Young Vanderburg was a son of the late William and Lizzie (Guston) Vanderburg. He married Miss Pearl Kinsworthy, June 21, 1927.

Besides his wife and two step-children, Mrs. Olen Dollins and James Nesbit, Dallas, he leaves these brothers and sisters: Dewey Vanderburg, Precinct 3 county commissioner, and John Vanderburg, both of Chicota; Sandford Vanderburg, Arthur City, Mrs. Sallie Lloyd, Hugo, Okla., and Mrs. Lulu Stein, Pampa, and a half-brother, N. J. Elder, Texarkana.

Burial will be made in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Chicota by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home here, other funeral arrangement being imcomplete.
