JESSE VANDERBURG DIES AT HOSPITAL

Chicota Veteran Succumbs As Legion Tuesday; Funeral Thursday

Jessie Vanderburg, of Chicota, 41 years old world war veteran, died Tuesday morning in the government hospital at Legion, where he had been a patient about a month.

The body will arrive Thursday noon via the Santa Fe train and will be taken to Chicota, where the funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. The Rev. J. Roby Ward, pastor of Immanuel Baptist church and chaplain of Winfield F. Brown, Post No. 30 of American Legion, will conduct the service.

Pallbearers will be Rube Hutchings, Buddy Carpenter, Claude Schultz, W. A. Renfro, Roy Gibson and Clinton Gray.

Vanderburg, who was unmarried, is survived by one brother and several half-brothers.
