Pearl D. Beckham, 79, of Bonnie died 3:50 p.m. Dec. 8, 2004, at her daughter's home in Waltonville.
She was born Jan. 26, 1925, in Bluford, a daughter of John Orville and Dena (McDaniel) Donoho. She married Uhlan D. Beckham Aug. 23, 1947, in Mt. Vernon; he survives in Bonnie.
Mrs. Beckham is also survived by a daughter, Paula S. Gentry and husband Ed of Waltonville; a brother, Lee Donoho of Bluford; a sister, Louise Neff and husband Ruthven of Bluford; two grandsons, Dr. Kevin W. Pierce and wife Chris of Springfield, Mo., and the Rev. Jason D. Pierce and wife Ginger of Woodriver; a granddaughter, Bethany Johnson and husband Chad of Christopher; and seven great-grandchildren, Katrina, Dustin, Taylor, Kyle, Lindsey, Ryan and Lexi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Melvin Donoho; and a grandson, Ryan Pierce.
She was a bookkeeper for the Mammoth Department Store for may years and then worked at Stage Department Store. She had attended Bakerville Freewill Baptist Church.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. Russell Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery
in rural Jefferson County.
