Clifford Lloyd 'Fuzzy' Rodgers was the son of Clara Belle Hillard (1866-1916) and William D. Rodgers (1853-1940). Clifford is the tall young man standing in the center of the back row in the family photo.

He married Lida Jane Campbell (1884-1959) on June 19, 1907 in Pennsylvania.

Clifford was an oil driller in the Oklahoma oil fields for many years. He and Lidia were divorced about 1925. He lived his later years with his daughter Ruth Eleanore (Rodgers) Bartley.

Obituary, Butler Eagle, August 4, 1944:

Clifford Lloyd Rodgers, aged 59, of Petrolia, died at 8 o'clock last night at the Butler County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Fairview township, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rodgers and was formerly employed as an oil driller at Bartleville, Okla. He came to Petrolia four years ago where he was employed by the Daugherty Refining company and was a member of the Masonic lodge at Bartleville.

He leaves a son, Asa L. Rodgers of Pennville, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Calhoun of Petrolia; Mrs. Belle Legger of Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. Ruth Bartley of Dutch Hill; two brothers, Kenneth Rodgers of Butler and Clyde Rodgers of Maude, Okla.; five sisters, Mrs. Elanor Bradley of Lockport, N.Y.; Mrs. Bess Kausam of Hermosa Beach, Cal.; Mrs. Ethel Snyder of Slippery Rock; Mrs. Laura Belle Reed of Slippery Rock and Wilda of Niles, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the Helper Funeral home, Petrolia, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. R. C. Sherrard, pastor of the Fairview United Presbyterian church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery.
