Ethel Lucille Rodgers was the daughter of Clara Belle Hillard (1866-1916) and William D. Rodgers (1853-1940).

She married David Franklin 'Frank' Snyder (1896-1967) on December 31, 1917 in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Frank Snyder
Mrs. Ethel Snyder, 70, of Slippery Rock R.D. 1, died at the Grove City Hospital at 3 p.m. yesterday after an illness.
Born in Haysville, Butler County, Feb. 9, 1898, Mrs. Snyder was the daughter of William and Clarabelle Hillard Rodgers.
She was the widow of Frank Snyder.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of West Liberty.
Surviving are two sons, Ross and Chauncey Snyder, both of Slippery Rock R.D. 1; a daughter; Mrs. Laura Belle Holstine of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Clyde Rodgers of Oklahoma, and Kenneth of Prospect; four sisters, Mrs. Eleanore Bradley of Green Valley, Ariz., Mrs. Bess Kaufmann of Redondo Beach, Calif., Mrs. Laura Belle Reed of Green Valley, Ariz., and Mrs. Wilda Woodcock of Niles, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son and two brothers preceded her in death.

SNYDER – Friends of Mrs. Ethel Snyder of Slippery Rock R.D. 1, who died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1968, will be received at the Ligo Funeral Home, Slippery Rock, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Gregory, pastor of the West Liberty United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Liberty Cemetery. Arrangements by Ligo.
