Clive was a self-taught mechanic and owned and ran Bybee's Service Station in Tropic for 30 years. He was also a school bus driver for the Garfield County School District.

His grandkids have many fond memories of riding in "Grandpa's yellow school bus". He had a great love for the Lord, his family and especially his wife.

He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served in many callings throughout his life, including bishop of the Tropic Ward for eight years and a member of the stake presidency.
