John born 15 Oct 1690 in Cambridge, son of William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe. He was baptized at Cambridge, Sept. 15, 1700, married Lydia Haarrington, daughter of John and Hannah (Winter) Harrington, of Waltham. She was baptized Mar. 2, 1689-90.

"September 9, 1739, John and wife were founders of the church in the Second Precinct of Cambridge, now Arlington; signing and acknowledging the covenant drawn up by Rev. Samuel Cooke, the first pastor. 17 Nov 1739 he was unanimously chosen a deacon".
