William married Margaret Maria Anderson(1826-1886) on October 9, 1856 in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
William and Margaret had 7 children together: Mary Narcissa, Elizabeth Agnes, Edward Glass, Martha Emma, John Elliott, Willie, and an infant son that died at birth in 1871.
William is laid to rest along with his wife Margaret and 3 of their children, Elizabeth Agnes, John Elliott, and Willie in Middlesex Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Middlesex Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
