Spartanburg Hearld Journal Obituary, June 3, 2001, page B4. Campobello - LOIS BROWN McABEE, 102, of 610 Macedonia Church Road, died June 2, 2001, at Inman Health Care. Formerly of Spartanburg and a native of Madison Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late SWAN JEFFERSON and THEODOSIA WORSHAM BROWN and widow of ROLAND DEAN McABEE. She was an LPN at the T. B. Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Salvation Army for more than 60 years. She was survived by two daughters , HELEN PROCTOR of Union, and a daughter and son-in-law, LULA and BEN BRASHEARS of Campobello; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons, ROLAND JULIAN, RALPH DEAN, and THOMAS JEFFERSON (J. T.) McABEE; two daughters LOUISE CANTRELL and RUTH BRYANT; two sisters, OTIS BROWN JONES and LOLA BROWN REVIS; and one brother, NOEL BROWN. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Floyd's North Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the chapel, cooducted by Major JACK ENGLE and the Rev. JOHN SMITH. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family is at the home of a grandson, DOUGLAS BRASHEARS, in Campobello, SC.
