Judge John S. Kochititzky, 82 year old engineer and contractor of the city died in Southeast Mo. Hospital here Monday as a result of injuries suffered in a head on automobile crash east of Risco, Sunday night. Mrs. Kochtitzky, 74, is in critical condition. Nephew, Wilbur of Chattanooga, Tenn., escaped injury. Kochtitzky, a native of Ohio, came to Mo. in 1866 and for many years was associated with his father Oscar Von Kochtitsky and a brother, Otto, in land reclamation work in Southeast Mo. They helped build the first railroad in the swampy area in New Madrid Co. in 1875. He is survived by the widow, two sons, Oscar F. and John S., both of Little Rock, Ark., a daughter, Mrs. Truman Daw of Tulsa, Okla.
