Ruby M. Stanger, 75, 1516 Ryand St., Machesney Park, Illinois, died at 5:16 a. m. Wednesday, March 9, 1988 in her home after a short illness. Born April 18, 1912 in Rockford, the daughter of Burrell C. and Melissa Margason Black. Lived all of her life in Rockford. Married Homer A. Stanger in Davenport, Iowa, on August 15, 1939. Past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star No.53. Survivors include a sister, Hazel (Jack) Malone, Pasadena, California; a brother Donald Black, Rockford; two nieces, Linda (Leon) Wallace, Machesney Park, Illinois and Nancy Newton, Joliet, Illinois; a nephew, Donald Haberlin of Florida; and many cousins. Predeceased by her husband and her parents. Services at 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 11, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with Wayne Griswald of the Salvation Army officating. friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home.
