Frank German, 93, former member of the Princeville village board died Friday afternoon in the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Kappes of Princeville.
Services were held in Hammitt Memorial Chapel and in St. Mary of the Woods Catholic church with Rev. William Smith officiating and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. German was born in Princeville July 9, 1875, the son of Joseph and Katherine Heinz German. In 1898, he married Jennie McDermott, who died in 1915. In 1920, he married Grace Heinz, who died in 1959.
Surviving with Mrs. Kappes is another daughter, Opal Reynolds of Los Angeles, Calif., three sons, Franklin of Los Angeles, Cletus of Hardin and Harold German of Kampville, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
A sister and two daughters preceded him in death.
Mr. German was a member of Modern Woodsmen and a former member of the Princeville Volunteer Fire Department.
Casketbearers were Raymond Oertley, Tony Kraft, Wilbur Pullen, John Koller, Frank Graves and Harry Best.
