Daughter of Joseph FEHRINGER and Mary Ann GERMAN.

The St. Francis Assisi (Humphrey, Platte County, Nebraska) Centennial book names three FEHRINGER brothers who were a part of the St. Mary of the Angels Parish: Nicholas, George and Joseph. Joseph was born 29 Dec 1865 in Indiana. He came to the St. Mary's community and married Mary Ann GERMAN on 12 Feb 1895 at St. Mary's Church. Mary Ann was the younger sister of Kate GERMAN, who was married to Joseph's brother George. She was a daughter of Frank GERMAN and Elizabeth nee MESSING. Joseph and Mary lived in the St. Mary's community until 1903, moved to Okarchee, Oklahoma, came back to St. Mary's in 1908, moved to North Dakota a year later, then in 1922 moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where Joseph and Mary Ann are both buried.
