Steven Grant Sundwall, 27, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on April 21, 1997 of complications following an accident.
Steve was born May 19, 1969 in Salt Lake City to Peter and Connie Jean Affleck Sundwall. Married Valerie Kay Goodsell in the Salt Lake Temple on October 24, 1991. He loved and enjoyed his wife and three daughters, Kambria Kay (3 years) and twins, Hailey Marie and Courtney Jean (5 months). Steve was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout, President of the Skyline Seminary and served an honorable mission to Peru. He served as a counselor in the bishopric of the Winder 12th Ward. He loved his close association with the youth as a Seminary Teacher, youth leader, coach and friend. He loved the out of doors and was an avid fisherman. He loved sports and was an exceptional athlete.
Steve was prepared to graduate from the U of U and was employed as a pharmaceutical representative for Bristol-Myers Squibb. He was a certified EMT and a true good samaritan.
Steve is survived by his wife, Valerie; three duaghtersl parents; parents-in-law, Steven and Judy Goodsell; brothers, Peter (Michelle); Daniel (Melissa); Michael and sisters, Ann Diehl (Rick); Rebecca and Catherine; brother-in-law, Daniel Goodsell (Maryanne); sister-in-law, Lisa Davis (Brent) grandmothers, Ila Sundwall and Afton Affleck; and numerous extended family members.
