Zora was born to Herman G. & Frances L. (Bowles) Loucks, in Jewell County. She became a member of the Mayview Christian Church when a young girl. She grew up in this community & was united in marriage to David Edson VanDusen, on Apr. 2, 1913, at Beloit, Ks. To this union 2 daughters were born - Velda & Ardyce.(Zora had a little girl, Zelpha, before marrying Edson).
She was stricken with pneumonia, but she did not recover, leaving behind her dear husband & 3 little girls, ages 9 yrs, 2 yrs & a 9 month old baby.
Relatives took the children in their homes to help raise them.
