Erma Clara was born to Herman G. & Francis (Bowles)Loucks, at the home of her parents, in Jewell County. All of her life was spent in this community. After attending the Jewell High School, she taught four successful years of school.
She was united in marriage to Bennie E. Crites, Sept.28,1913. To this union were born three children - Lucille, Shirley & Herman.
At age 13, she united with the Mayview Christian Church & has always lived a faithful Christian life, a faithful companion, a devoted mother, always administering to every family want. She bore her suffering patiently & was glad & willing to lend a helping hand to everyone.
She passed away at te Mitchell Co Hosp. at Beloit, Ks. following an operation, after an illness of 2 years.
