Pauline A Kessler, age 84, died on Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at the Skaalen Nursing Home in Stoughton. She was born on May 16, 1915 in Garden Grove, California, to Albert and Cora Calhoun. She married Raymond J Kessler. Pauline taught in one room school houses for many years in Oak Park, Janesville, North Bristol, and Windsor. She taught in Beloit at Our Lady of Assumption and in Loves Park at St. Bridget's. She loved the outdoors, gardening, Softball, hunting, and fishing. Pauline is survived by five children, Cora Rund of Madison, Becky Kessler of Greensboro, North Carolina, John (JoAnn) Kessler of Madison, Vicki Kessler (Kent Sandstrom) of Waterloo, Iowa, and Chris (Ron) Arnold of Sterling, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Reuben, Kim, Scott, and Alisha Arnold, Brandon Kessler, and Nathaniel and Philip Sandstrom; one sister, Evelyn Yoeman, of Janesville, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Her husband, Raymond; and her seven brothers, Andrew, Louis, Pearlie, Thomas, Dortha "Slim", Frank, and Harold Calhoun; two sisters Agnes Calhoun and Jesse Black; and a special nephew, Bill Calhoun. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 1999 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 434 Main Street, Cottage Grove with Father David Runde officiating.
Burial will be held at Saint Patrick's Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 1999 at the TUSCHEN-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday, November 6, 1999
