Bulen Wooten, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a resident of Edinburgh.

He was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Russell Springs, Ky. His parents were Ruben and Cecil (Skaggs) Wooten. He married Margie (Fitch) Wooten on May 21, 1954. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ed Wooten of Columbus and Tom Wooten of Stanford, Ky.; a daughter, Wanda Wooten of Columbus; a brother, Esco Wooten of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Till Jones of Bedford and Stella Montgomery of Covina, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sons, Huley, James, Bulen and Bobby Wooten; a daughter, Barbara Jean Wooten; four brothers, Huley, Herman, Robert and Hubert Wooten; and a sister, Tina Schuck.

He was formerly employed in construction and ministered in several areas for 45 years.

He was a member of Full Gospel Church in Edinburgh.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

The Revs. Douglas Smith and Glenn Poynter will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Full Gospel Church, 507 W. Center Cross St. in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh is handling arrangements.

EDINBURGH —— Bulen Wooten, 83, of Edinburgh died at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Wooten was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Edinburgh Full Gospel Church and a former construction worker. He also was a minister in several areas for 45 years.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Edinburgh Full Gospel Church with the Revs. Douglas Smith and Glenn Poynter officiating. Calling will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.
