was ill a long time with consumption being confined to her bed since the first
of May. She married Scott Gardner Oct. 4, 1883 and 3 children were born,
Bessie, Hallie, and Eva, 2 of whom survice. Mrs. Gardner joined the Baptist
Church in 1873 and afterwards and until her death affiliated with the Christian
Church. She has found rest and peace in Christ. Funeral services were
conducted at the residence yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Elder Hubbell,
after which interment occurred in Palestine cemetery.
