Jergen Hanson, 86, Shevlin, died Sunday, January 2 at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Landstad Lutheran Church, Shevlin, with Rev. Mauritz Lundeen officiating. Interment was made in the Landstad Cemetery, with Cease Funeral Home, Bagley, in charge.
He was born January 3, 1896 in Shevlin, the son of Nick and Hannah Hanson. He was a rural mail carrier for about 30 years.
Survivors include six sisters, Olga Olson, Baudette, Ella Englund, Shevlin, Ida Bang, Brainerd, Alvina (Mrs. Elmer) Teigland, Shevlin, Viola (Mrs. Shorty) O'Beirne, Shevlin, and Julia Amundson, Bemidji. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
