Nickolai Hanson, a resident of Shevlin for the past 33 years, passed away at his home there Saturday, November 24th at the age of 67 years.
Nick Hanson came to this county from Norway in 1881, when he was 14 years of age, and lived for a while with his brother at Ada. Later he moved to Sabin and was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Anderson at Gary, this state, November 8th, 1894.
Mr. Hanson leaves to mourn his death, his wife, and twelve children: Mrs. B.W. Shreck of Brainerd, Olga, Niel, Ida, Julia, Alvina, and Viola, Mrs. Ludvig Ysen, Ebro; Mrs. Nels Adamson of Shevlin, Jorgen, Henry, Louie. There are also 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Landstad Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. A.P. Anderson officiated and the Peterson Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Interment was made at the Shevlin Village Cemetery.
