Madelaine R. Liebold

CHESAPEAKE - Madelaine Rose Liebold, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 80, of the 100 block of Gainsborough Square, died Sept. 15, 2004, at Maryview Medical Center. She was a native of Chicago, Ill. Caring for her family and home were most important to her. She was a member of St. Therese’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Liebold was predeceased by her parents, Francis Joseph Gumbel and Katharina Klamm and her husband, Charles William Liebold.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Much and husband Ed and Madelaine Montgomery, both of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Sharon Cuddington and husband Wade of Chesapeake; a stepson Chuckie Liebold and wife Phyllis of Kissimmee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Teresa Alexander, Johnny Muth, Billy Muth, Charlie Brice and Jenny Evans; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gary Harley. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
