Samuel Alexander Lambert born in Alabama, August 11, 1871, died June 30, 1954 at the age of 82 years. After several months of illness. He was married at Allsborro, Alabama, in 1891. Mr. Lambert moved to Texas in 1893. Then to Stratford in 1921 where he lived until he passed away. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lambert, Stratford, 3 sons, Cliff of O'Donnell, Texas; Don of Ada and Jack of Stratford; six daughters, Lona Cox, Lamesa, Tx, Mary Butter,Housington, Kansas and Letha Edwards, Omaha, Nebraska, Lera Gabbert and Maedell of Houston, Texas; and Marie Haynes of Stratford. Several grandchildren and other relatives. Services were held Friday July 2, at 3:30 p.m. at the Freewell Baptist Church, Stratford, Vard Wood, Shawnee officiated. Interment was in the McGee Cemetery. 8 July 1954
