09/29/1938 - Abraham PLETCHER, 89, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning at his farm in Clinton Tp, near Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, where he had resided for the past 55 years. Death due to infirmities of old age. Services will be held at Rock Run Church of the Brethren Tuesday afternoon. Burial Rock Run Cemetery. Mr. PLETCHER was born in Wood Co OH, Oct 24, 1848 s/o William and Anna ECKLEBARGER PLETCHER. He was from a family of seven sons and three daughters. He came to IN at an early age and spent almost his entire life in this community. As a young man he worked at the carpenter trade and later a few years after his marriage, he settled on the farm where he spent the remainder of his life. Survivors: 2 sons, William E PLETCHER of Goshen and Arthur who resides on the homestead; two daughters Mrs. C C CRIPE of Argos and Mrs. William WEAVER of near Goshen, 11 grch, 1 grgrch, brother Sam of Valparaiso, sister Mrs. Mary KAUFFMAN of New Carlisle. Wife preceded his death 3 1/2 years ago and his eldest son Harvey E died not more than a year ago. The late Wm and Christian PLETCHER of Middlebury were brothers.
