A native of Old Barnwell County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Sara Sanders and the widow of Richard Creech. For the past 14 years, she lived at St George, where she was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Nettie Creech Herring of Charleston, Mrs Estelle Creech Knight of Bamberg, and Mrs Jennie Lou Carr and Mrs Sadie Carr, both of St George; a sister, Mrs Anna Creech Taylor of Columbia, two brothers, William and John Angus Sanders of Bamberg; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 pm Sunday from the home of her daughter, Mrs Sadie Carr. Burial will be in St George Cemetery.
