St George, Dec 12 - Richard Riley Creech, 74, died this afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs John S Carr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 Saturday afternoon from the St George Cemetery.
Mr Creech, a native of Old Barnwell County, spent most of his life in Bamberg. After his health failed about five years ago he came to St George to make his home with his daughter. He was a member of Bamberg Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Sanders Creech; five daughters, Mrs C H Herron of Charleston, Mrs J C Knight of Orangeburg, Mrs H H Stokes of Bamberg, and Mrs John S Carr and Mrs William Carr, both of St George; a half brother, J Wilkes Sanders of Orangeburg; three sisters, Mrs J O Sanders of Bamberg, Mrs Jimmie Vaughn of Orangeburg and Mrs Joe Yelton of Kings Mountain, NC; 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Another sister: Anna Rebecca Sanders Moody.
